“The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed” (Isaiah 50:4).
What is God saying at this hour? It seems in a time of international turbulence and confusion, we as God’s people must hear His voice. We need to be a people who have ears to hear what God is saying. He wants to instruct us at this critical hour, but what is He saying to us as His people? When we hear from God with a heart to obey, we line up with His values of what is right and wrong. We make choices that are His choices.
God is looking for a praying people. It is of utmost importance that we go up to the mountain of the Lord and hear Him. Then we can prepare the way of the Lord and build a smooth highway for Him. The praying Church needs to become a Church that speaks clearly the Word of the Lord. In Amos 3:7 we see that God reveals His secrets to His servants. He tells us what will happen before it happens. In Amos 8:11 there was a famine on the land, a famine of hearing the Word of God because of sin. It is necessary that we remove the stones (sin) and obstacles in our lives through personal prayer and together with others. We need to hear God’s voice and go to Jesus for truth.
Are we fervently praying during times of election? The place of prayer is the place of power. It is time to stop unnecessary activities and give ourselves to prayer, both personally and corporately. We must pray for God’s righteous standards in our land. Our eyes must be on the King of Heaven. Prayer is the position of strength for any nation. It’s not in any political leader, but it’s only in God.
Remember in Choosing National Leaders:
- We as God’s people must hear His voice.
- He wants to instruct us during critical times of national elections.
- When we hear from God with a heart to obey, we line up with His values of what is right and wrong.
- God is looking for a praying people who make choices that are His choices.
- The praying Church needs to become a Church that speaks clearly the Word of God.
- In Amos 3:7 we see that God reveals His secrets to His servants.
- In Amos 8:11 there was a famine on the land of hearing God’s voice because of sin.
- We must choose leaders who know that God is the one who prospers a nation.
- We must beware of deception when choosing leaders.
Pray with God’s authority for your nation and be sure to vote. Every single vote counts. Let’s set our hearts right before God and be His voice at this hour. Let’s speak truth to our family, friends, and the lost. It is our responsibility as the people of God to take our stand and vote for righteousness, justice, and holy values at such a critical hour as the one we are right now facing.
This is an 6-minute video that will help you to hear God’s Voice as you vote and choose your national leaders. Watch the video called: Hearing God’s Voice When Choosing National Leaders.
“A preacher preaches a message. A voice is much more than this. A message can deliver content, but a voice comes from an anointed life that has the power to actually turn people. A message delivers information. A voice delivers people. Anyone can deliver a message, but only a consecrated life can be a voice.” Wes Martin
